FREEDOM WHEELS

Freedom Wheels serves former offenders and their families by providing reliable transportation for FreedomWorks men to get to work and church, and to reconnect with their families.

Why Donate a Car?

You can be the source of hope for a man who has paid the penalty for his crime and is committed to becoming a law-abiding, tax-paying citizen. Jobs, with transportation in place, are critical. The $200 received upon release from prison has to cover basic needs such as food, clothes, and a place to stay. There is no quicker way for dignity to return to an ex-con than to have transportation.

If you have a reliable car you no longer want or use, consider donating it to FreedomWorks for a full blue book valued IRS tax deduction.

What’s In It for Me?
  • You do not have to go through the hassle or headache of selling your used car or accepting a low offer at trade-in time.
  • FreedomWorks transfers your car directly to a program participant, so you receive an IRS tax deduction for your vehicle to the fullest extent allowed by law.
  • FreedomWorks does not sell your car at an auction. This allows you to receive a larger tax deduction based on blue book valuations, rather than the amount bid for your car at an auction or offered at a trade-in.
  • FreedomWorks staff or volunteers will pick up your vehicle at the location of your choice.
  • You get to be the source of hope for someone by assisting him in getting his life back together, getting to work and reconnecting with his family.
