George Lang Finds His Way to God and a Happy Life

George Lang has had a tough time in life.  “I lost everything by going to prison,” he reflects.  “My home, my family, my business and all my relationships.  The world had thrown me away,  I was to the point that I was welcoming death.”  Then I passed by you and saw you were at a time for Love (Ezek. 16:8)  “It was in 2004, while in prison, I asked God to come into my life.” 

George also reached out to FreedomWorks in 2004 to help him transition back into life outside prison walls.  He claims today that God has given him the opportunities through the FreedomWorks community he would likely not have experienced on his own.  He claims that, through this organization, he was healed, strengthened and built up to who he is in Christ today. 

George recently announced:  “On January 1, 2010, I left the nest.  God, as faithful as He is, has blessed me with the ability and privilege of purchasing a property here in Minneapolis, just minutes away from FreedomWorks.  This home is a multi-unit property and will be used to help further the mission of FreedomWorks.” 

George’s property has opened up space for additional men to be able to live in our supportive community. FreedomWorks now has the capacity to house 12 men. Praise God! George will continue to serve as Program manager. 

George Lang has done a fantastic job in his role at FreedomWorks and his journey to a new life is a wonderful example to other men coming out of prison. Through faith, all things are possible.
